Interviews for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya are expected to be held soon. More than 5,300 people applied for the post, of whom 18 have reportedly been shortlisted for the interview. The interviews will be conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday at the temple premises. The panel will comprise former judge Justice Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi and former chairman of the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Suresh Haware.
Sources said the trust plans to appoint a person aged between 50 and 70 as CEO. National media reports have stated that preference will be given to candidates who practise Hinduism and are vegetarian. The CEO will be responsible for overseeing all affairs related to the Ram Mandir. The trust had decided to appoint a CEO following the reported theft of donations at the temple, with the aim of strengthening oversight and preventing such incidents from recurring.
