Kangana Ranaut Questions Criticism Faced by Hindu Women for Defending Their Faith

Actor-turned-politician and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut shared her views on religious identity and public perception in a video posted on Instagram while travelling to Parliament. Reflecting on her interactions with women from the film industry, she said many actors do not identify themselves with a specific political ideology or religious group. Kangana noted that India's Constitution gives every citizen the freedom to adopt a secular ideology or choose their own beliefs, and said she has no objection to people exercising that right.

However, Kangana questioned why criticism often arises when Hindu women openly defend or embrace Hinduism. She argued that while people freely express secular views without facing scrutiny, the response tends to be different when someone publicly speaks in support of Hinduism. Her remarks have sparked discussions on social media, with users expressing differing opinions on the issue.
