Launch Date Finalised for Telangana EHS

The first meeting of the Employees Health Care Trust was held at the Secretariat today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao. Several important decisions were taken regarding the implementation of the new Employees Health Scheme (EHS).

The government announced that the new EHS will be launched from July 15. Comprehensive guidelines will be issued within a week. The contribution amount will be deducted from only one spouse if both husband and wife are employees. Orders will also be issued to refund excess deductions made earlier. A meeting with hospital representatives will be held within a week, and package rates along with the list of empanelled hospitals will be finalized in the next meeting.
