

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla said the ideals of Maharaja Agrasen continue to guide society towards inclusive development. He called on people to uphold equality, non-violence, social harmony and public welfare while working for the betterment of society and the progress of the nation. The Governor attended the Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti Celebrations–2026 as the chief guest, along with his wife, Janaki Shukla, at the Maharaja Agrasen statue premises in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. He addressed prominent members and representatives of the Agarwal and Agrahari communities.
Shukla said Maharaja Agrasen’s teachings offer guidance for strengthening social unity and inclusive growth. He appreciated the Agarwal community’s contributions to trade, industry, philanthropy and social service. Emphasising values such as “Service to humanity is service to God” and “May all be happy,” he urged people to preserve India’s cultural heritage and pass its values on to younger generations. He also encouraged new business and industrial initiatives to generate employment and combine economic growth with social responsibility. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and All India Vaishya Sammelan national president and former MP Dr Girish Kumar Sanghi were among those who attended the event.
