The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has reportedly decided to part ways with the DMK alliance, bringing an end to a political association that lasted for nearly six decades. The party had been a long-standing ally of the DMK and played a significant role in several elections in Tamil Nadu over the years.
In the previous Assembly elections, the Muslim League contested two seats and secured victories in both constituencies. Following the elections, the party extended its support to the government led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. The latest development is expected to create fresh political discussions and could influence alliance dynamics in the state ahead of future elections.
