

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron attended the India Innovates Summit in Nice, France, alongside global investors and industry leaders. Addressing the gathering, Modi said that India and France are not connected merely through technology partnerships but through mutual trust and shared values. He emphasized that the collaboration between the two nations continues to grow across multiple sectors, fostering innovation and sustainable development.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted that India is now the world's third-largest startup ecosystem, with more than 200,000 startups and over 120 unicorns. He noted that the ‘Make in India’ initiative has evolved into ‘Make for the World,’ with India making significant strides in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, space technology, green energy, and biotechnology. President Macron echoed similar sentiments, stating that India and France are strengthening cooperation in AI, climate action, energy, and nuclear technology, including the development of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), paving the way for future innovation and growth.
