Odisha Government Issues Statement on Rath Yatra Incident

The Odisha Government has issued an official clarification regarding the recent incident in Puri, stating that no stampede occurred during the Jagannath Rath Yatra. In a statement released by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), the government dismissed reports suggesting that a stampede had taken place during the annual religious procession.

According to the CMO, two devotees died due to health-related issues during the event and not because of a stampede. The government urged the public not to believe unverified reports and appealed to people to rely only on official information regarding the incident.
