Panel Seeks Zuckerberg's Apology

A Parliamentary Committee has reportedly expressed strong displeasure over the temporary unavailability of a video related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to reports, the committee took serious note of the video being inaccessible for nearly five hours and was dissatisfied with the explanation provided by Meta. The Central Government also reportedly expressed concerns over the company's response.

The committee has reportedly demanded that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg issue an unconditional personal apology within three days. It is also said to have warned that failure to comply with the directive could lead to a review of the company's safe harbour protections under the applicable legal framework.
