PM Modi Launches Strong Attack on Congress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized Congress and Rahul Gandhi, stating that during peak Naxal violence, the country was in fear and previous governments failed to address the issue. He remarked that regions once neglected were labeled as backward under Congress rule.

Speaking at the Republic Summit-2026 in Delhi, Modi said that after 2014, the situation in Naxal-affected areas changed significantly. These regions were transformed into “aspirational districts” and are now becoming growth engines. He added that Naxalism is now on its “deathbed” and India has emerged as a trusted global power.
