Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently increased his activity on Instagram, marking a noticeable shift from his frequent posts on X. Instead of relying only on traditional social media updates, the Prime Minister has begun sharing short reels and directly addressing younger audiences. His recent videos on issues such as the paper leak controversy have drawn significant attention, with five such videos already shared on the platform.
Although Modi created his Instagram account in 2014 and has periodically posted photographs and videos over the years, his recent engagement reflects a more direct and interactive approach. Political observers believe this could be part of a broader digital outreach strategy aimed at connecting with Generation Z, a demographic that spends considerable time on short-form video platforms. While no official statement has described this as a strategic shift, the increased use of Instagram has sparked widespread discussion.
