Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy launched a sharp attack on the BRS, alleging that the party ignored senior leader and Telangana movement activist Peddi Sudarshan Reddy while he was alive but is now attempting to use his death for political mileage. He questioned why the previous BRS government, despite ruling the state for ten years, did not nominate him to the Rajya Sabha or Legislative Council after his electoral defeat, while other leaders were accommodated in prominent positions.
Ponguleti said the Congress government ensured that Peddi Sudarshan Reddy received due respect by arranging a green corridor for his transportation to Hyderabad and conducting his final rites with official police honours. He further accused the BRS leadership of exploiting Telangana movement activists for electoral gains while reserving power and key positions for a select few, and claimed that the people of Telangana would respond to such politics in the next elections.
