Prakash Raj Fires Back at EC’s Explanation

Actor Prakash Raj has strongly criticised Election Commission officials over their statement that his vote had not been deleted. He claimed that after he posted a video about his missing vote, officials contacted him and admitted that a mistake had occurred. Prakash Raj said he has call recordings in which officials allegedly asked him to remove the video and post another one stating that the issue was due to an error.

Prakash Raj further alleged that the voter status was hurriedly changed to “shifted” on the website and that the information was shared with sections of the media to portray him as a liar. Questioning whether citizens should have to stand in queues and plead for their voting rights, he said he would soon hold a press conference and present all the evidence.
