Minister Ponnam Prabhakar thanked the government for providing quality breakfast to students studying in government schools. Speaking at a breakfast and book distribution programme held at Raj Bhavan Government School on Monday, he said the "Badibata" initiative is being implemented to strengthen and promote government education.
The minister stated that nutritious food is being provided to students through the scheme, with breakfast, milk, and ragi malt served for 6 days a week. He said the government is spending nearly ₹800 crore on the programme. Efforts are also being made to encourage parents to enroll their children in government schools and improve confidence in public education and healthcare systems.
