Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said resolving people’s problems is the government’s only agenda and that good governance remains its first priority. During his visit to Kalidindi in Eluru district, he participated in the ‘Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku’ programme and distributed land title passbooks to farmers. He said revenue officials must continue working intensively until land-related grievances are resolved and stressed that land issues had received a large number of petitions.
Naidu said the government was strengthening the security of land title passbooks by incorporating features similar to those used to secure currency notes. QR codes and blockchain technology have been introduced to prevent tampering with property records. He said 32.32 lakh passbooks had so far been distributed to farmers and landowners. A resurvey has been completed in 9,365 villages, and 68.64 lakh passbooks are expected to be issued, he added.
