Rahul Gandhi Questions Dismissal of Adani Case

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has questioned the dismissal of the criminal case against industrialist Gautam Adani by a US federal court. Reacting to the development on X, Gandhi expressed doubts over the decision and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of compromising India’s interests. He alleged that the country would have to pay a heavy price as a result.

The US case, filed in 2024, involved allegations that Gautam Adani and associates had agreed to pay bribes to Indian officials to secure solar power contracts and misled US investors. On August 10, a US judge dismissed the criminal charges after the Justice Department sought to drop the case. The judge also raised concerns about aspects of the government’s decision-making process. Adani and the Adani Group have denied the allegations.
