Relief for onion farmers from the Centre

The Central Government has provided relief to onion farmers by increasing the procurement price by 13 percent per quintal. The new price has been fixed at Rs. 2,125 per quintal.

Earlier, the support price was Rs. 1,875 per quintal. This marks the fifth revision in the current season, aimed at improving farmers’ income, according to officials.
