Renowned Indian archer Vennam Jyothi Surekha, who represented India at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan and won a gold medal in the compound women’s team event, met Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh on Monday. Surekha, accompanied by her father Surendra Kumar, met the minister at his Undavalli residence. Lokesh congratulated her on her achievement and noted that she has won six Asian Games medals so far, including four gold medals.
Lokesh praised Jyothi Surekha for bringing pride to the country and Andhra Pradesh with her performances on the international stage. He encouraged her to set her sights on winning a medal at the 2028 Olympics and assured her of all possible support in her pursuit of the goal.
