The Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (SEC) has clarified that reports claiming that 95 lakh votes are being deleted in the state are false. The official stated that misinformation is being spread regarding the revision of electoral rolls and urged people not to misinterpret the voter verification process as the deletion of votes.
According to the SEC, a total of 73,39,235 voters have been identified under the ASDD category in Telangana. So far, 92,88,187 notices have been issued as part of the process. The SEC clarified that these figures should not be interpreted as the number of votes deleted and emphasized the importance of understanding electoral roll revision details based on the actual facts.
