Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will undertake a two-day tour of the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district on June 4 and 5 to review the progress of key irrigation projects. During the visit, he will inspect the Makthal-Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme (MNKLIS), proposed barrages across the Krishna and Bhima rivers, Koilsagar Project, Priyadarshini Jurala Project, and the Gudendoddi Reservoir. The Chief Minister will also conduct a high-level review meeting at Somashila with senior officials to assess the status of major irrigation initiatives across the region.
On the second day, Revanth Reddy will inspect various components of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS), including pump houses, reservoirs, canals, and delivery systems at Narlapur, Edula, Vattem, Karivena, and Uddandapur. He is also expected to address a public meeting at Uddandapur in Mahabubnagar district. The visit is being seen as a significant effort by the state government to accelerate irrigation infrastructure and strengthen water resources across the Palamuru region.
