

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to bring all road network-related projects in Hyderabad and the HMDA limits under a single administrative framework to improve urban transportation and infrastructure planning. During a high-level review meeting held at Bodhi Pavilion in MCR HRD, attended by senior officials of HMDA and the Hyderabad Road Development Corporation, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of major road expansion projects, including the Outer Ring Road (ORR), Regional Ring Road (RRR), flyovers, underpasses, and other key roads. He emphasized integrating land acquisition, funding, execution, and maintenance under one coordinated system.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over poor maintenance of the ORR and the increasing number of accidents caused by improperly parked vehicles. He directed officials to strengthen monitoring and ensure timely maintenance. Revanth Reddy also instructed that Radial Road-1 from Kongara Kalan to Future City be completed by December 9 and called for the swift removal of obstacles delaying road projects. He stressed that construction quality should not be compromised, instructed officials to develop greenery along roadsides, expedite the Budwel Trumpet Interchange and the elevated corridor from Banjara Hills to Shilpa Layout, and accelerate land acquisition. He also ordered that land pooling should remain free from middlemen and directed the formation of a dedicated committee for issuing TDRs.
