Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy clarified that Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan has complete freedom to visit Telangana, conduct political activities, and even contest elections in the state. He stated that Telangana ministers responded to Pawan Kalyan only because of comments they believed were against the interests of the people. Revanth Reddy emphasized that there are no restrictions on Pawan Kalyan entering or participating in politics in Telangana.
The Chief Minister further explained that permission for Pawan Kalyan’s proposed meeting was denied solely due to law-and-order concerns. Raising a counter-question, Revanth Reddy asked why YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s public meetings were allegedly not being permitted in Andhra Pradesh and said Pawan Kalyan should clarify that issue. His remarks have sparked fresh political debate between leaders in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
