Revanth Reddy Warns of Massive Voter Deletions

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed concern that the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process could potentially lead to the deletion of 21–22% of votes in Telangana. During a Zoom meeting with district in charge ministers and parliamentary constituency in charges, he directed ministers to immediately visit their assigned districts and conduct field level reviews for the next two days. He said the directive was not merely his own but a clear instruction from the AICC, warning that the party would not tolerate negligence.

Revanth Reddy also alleged that the BJP and BRS were conspiring to remove a large number of votes in the state by using the SIR process, with alleged support from the Election Commission. Congress state affairs in charge Meenakshi Natarajan said the deletion of 73 lakh votes and marking of 64 lakh votes as anomalies was a serious matter and claimed that such large scale deletions had not occurred in any other state. TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud also urged party leaders and BLOs to remain vigilant and work seriously on the issue.
