The sea turned rough along the Odalarevu coast in Konaseema district, with locals claiming that the water has advanced nearly 100 metres inland. Strong waves damaged structures at a beach resort, while a section of the coastal embankment was reportedly breached. Seawater is now entering nearby fish ponds, raising concerns among people living in the coastal area.
Locals attributed the increased wave intensity to the impact of the new moon. With the sea advancing further inland, residents are concerned about the possibility of additional damage. Authorities are expected to assess the situation and take necessary measures to prevent seawater from moving further into the surrounding areas.
