Second Post-Mortem Conducted on Actress Twisha Sharma Following Court Orders

A second post-mortem examination was conducted on the body of actress Twisha Sharma in Bhopal following orders from the court. A team of forensic experts from AIIMS Delhi carried out the procedure after the actress’s family raised suspicions over her death. After the examination, the body was handed over to the family, and the final rites were performed at a cremation ground in Bhopal.

Twisha Sharma, a resident of Noida, was found hanging at her in-laws’ residence in Bhopal on May 12, just five months after her marriage. Her parents alleged that she was harassed for dowry by her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh, a retired judge, and accused them of abetment to suicide. An FIR has already been registered against the husband and mother-in-law. Samarth Singh, who was reportedly absconding for several days, was arrested on May 22 and later remanded to seven days of police custody. The Supreme Court is also expected to hear the matter soon.
