Several Boxers Reportedly Missing After Commonwealth Games

Scotland Police have launched an investigation after reports emerged that several athletes remained unaccounted for following the conclusion of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. According to media reports, four members of Uganda's boxing team did not board their scheduled return flight, while a Pakistani boxer was also reported missing. Authorities are working to determine the whereabouts of the athletes, although no official findings have been released so far.

Some media reports have claimed that at least one Ugandan boxer expressed a desire to remain in Scotland and seek asylum in order to continue his boxing career. However, Ugandan team officials have not publicly confirmed those claims and have maintained that all members of the delegation returned home. Meanwhile, reports indicate that the missing Pakistani boxer did not board his team's flight despite his passport reportedly remaining with the team management. Similar incidents involving athletes remaining abroad after major sporting events have been reported in previous Commonwealth Games editions.
