Shiv Sena Issues Legal Notices to Rebel MPs

Shiv Sena (UBT), led by Uddhav Thackeray, has issued legal notices to its rebel Members of Parliament over their reported move to merge with the Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena. The party alleged that any such merger without its approval is illegal and violates the provisions of the law.

The party also appealed to the Lok Sabha Speaker not to recognize or approve the proposed merger. Shiv Sena (UBT) maintained that the rebel MPs cannot legally merge with another faction without the consent of the party leadership and urged that due legal procedures be followed.
