SIT Files Chargesheet in Gaade Sai Krishna Custodial Death Case

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has filed a chargesheet, along with supporting evidence, before the court in the Gaade Sai Krishna custodial death case. The 86-page chargesheet names seven accused, including Circle Inspector Nagaraju. According to the SIT, Sai Krishna died following alleged custodial torture.

The chargesheet alleges that the seven accused destroyed evidence to prevent the circumstances surrounding Sai Krishna’s death from coming to light. The SIT stated that his details were not recorded in the lock-up diary, general diary or sentry book. It further alleged that the lock-up was repainted to remove traces linked to Sai Krishna and that CCTV footage was destroyed.
