The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that the Southwest Monsoon has officially reached the Kerala coast. The monsoon has now spread across all parts of Kerala and some regions of Tamil Nadu. Weather officials stated that the monsoon is expected to advance into parts of Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh over the next two days.
Due to a surface circulation prevailing over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, rainfall is likely across both Telugu states for the next five days. The IMD has warned of thunderstorms and lightning in several areas during this period. Despite the expected rainfall, high daytime temperatures are likely to continue across many regions.
