Speed Up Jal Jeevan Mission Works - Pawan Kalyan

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed officials to accelerate Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works in water-scarce regions and complete all pending projects within the stipulated timeline. During a review meeting at his Mangalagiri camp office, he assessed the progress of drinking water projects in the combined East and West Godavari districts. He instructed officials to ensure timely completion of the ₹3,050-crore Amarajeevi Jaladhara project, including intake wells, water treatment plants, reservoirs, and pipeline networks, while coordinating with all concerned departments to secure necessary approvals without delay.

Pawan Kalyan also asked Project Monitoring Units to regularly update the state headquarters on the progress of works and said he would personally conduct field inspections to ensure quality. Officials informed him that the projects will provide safe drinking water to nearly 13.5 lakh families in the combined Godavari districts. So far, over ₹151 crore has been spent, and around 400 km of pipelines have been laid. Later, senior BJP leaders, including Shiv Prakash, PVN Madhav, and Madhukar, met the Deputy Chief Minister to enquire about his health following shoulder surgery and reportedly discussed local body elections and other political matters.
