Srisailam Reservoir Records Strong Inflows

Heavy rainfall across the upper catchment areas has led to a steady rise in water inflows into the Srisailam Reservoir on the Krishna River. According to official data released on Tuesday morning, the reservoir's water level has reached 858.70 feet, while the total water storage stands at 101.9210 TMC. The reservoir is currently receiving an inflow of 1,53,543 cusecs, whereas the outflow remains limited to 924 cusecs.

Water resources officials said inflows are expected to increase further in the coming days as Karnataka continues releasing more water from its upstream reservoirs. With the additional discharge moving downstream, flood inflows into the Jurala Project are also likely to rise. Authorities are closely monitoring the river's flow and reservoir conditions to manage water levels effectively.
