Supreme Court’s Key Remarks on Amaravati Farmers

The Supreme Court has made significant remarks regarding the rights of farmers in Amaravati, assuring that it would intervene whenever necessary to protect their interests. The court said it would not remain silent if farmers who had given up their land suffered injustice. It also emphasized that the rights of farmers must be protected through appropriate legal measures.

The Supreme Court advised farmers to approach the courts if they have objections or grievances concerning land pooling or the relevant laws. The observations highlighted the need to safeguard the interests of farmers who contributed their land for Amaravati’s development. The court made it clear that it would step in if the rights of farmers were affected.
