The Telangana government has increased agricultural and non agricultural land market values by 20 to 300 percent depending on location and usage. However, the “Market Values Module” has been removed from the Dharani/Bhu Bharati portal, creating confusion among users.
Earlier, the portal displayed land market value per acre along with land details, but now that column is missing. Officials say the feature was visible for a short time after implementation but later disappeared, making it difficult to access current land rates across villages and survey numbers.
Due to this, even officials are unable to easily determine land values, affecting property transactions and stamp duty calculations. While other property data remains visible, agricultural land values are no longer displayed, leading to criticism over lack of transparency.
