Tamil Nadu Government Moves Supreme Court

The Tamil Nadu government has approached the Supreme Court seeking directions to the Karnataka government to release its due share of Cauvery river water. The state has urged the Court to intervene immediately to ensure compliance with water-sharing arrangements.

In its petition, Tamil Nadu stated that it requires its allocated share of Cauvery water and requested the Supreme Court to issue appropriate directions to Karnataka. The matter is expected to come up for hearing before the Court.
