The Telangana government is set to raise another ₹2,500 crore through an e-auction to be conducted by the Reserve Bank of India on October 6. The state plans to borrow ₹1,000 crore through a 20-year security and another ₹1,500 crore through a 26-year security.
Telangana is among 13 states that have submitted borrowing requirements to the RBI for a combined ₹25,100 crore. The proposed borrowing will be raised through the RBI’s scheduled auction process, with the funds to be mobilised through the respective state securities.
