

Telangana Police have carried out a major operation against cyber fraud networks across six states, resulting in the arrest of 101 people. The operation was conducted in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Puducherry. According to the police, 18 women and 83 men were among those arrested in connection with alleged cybercrime activities.
The Cybercrime Bureau reportedly identified suspects linked to 1,172 cybercrime cases during the operation. Police also uncovered a network allegedly involved in providing mule bank accounts to cybercriminals. Such accounts are commonly used to receive, transfer or conceal money obtained through fraudulent transactions. The operation is aimed at disrupting the networks supporting cyber fraud and bringing those allegedly involved to justice.
