The Telangana Tourism Department has launched special promotional activities across Hyderabad to highlight Bathukamma, one of the state’s most distinctive cultural festivals. The initiative aims to introduce the festival’s significance, traditions and cultural richness to residents, tourists and visitors. The campaign is being carried out following directions from Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, with Tourism Director Lakshman Ranjith Nayak overseeing the promotional efforts.
As part of the campaign, a special Bathukamma promotional video was screened during the international T20 cricket match between India and the West Indies at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal. The initiative provided an opportunity to showcase Telangana’s cultural heritage to cricket fans. Promotional activities are also being conducted at Hyderabad airport and several prominent locations across the city to reach a wider audience and increase awareness of the festival.
