Telangana has secured the top position in the country in controlling cyber crimes and providing quick assistance to victims, said Shikha Goel, Director of Telangana Cyber Security Bureau and Principal Secretary of the Home Department. She stated that the recognition was based on the effective use and performance of digital systems developed by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre under the Union Home Ministry, reviewed during the Prime Minister’s Office-led ‘PRAGATI’ video conference.
Shikha Goel said Telangana was appreciated for establishing the country’s first State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, implementing the Digital Zero FIR system, and efficiently using platforms for coordination, complaint resolution, and recovery of lost money for victims. She also announced that the Cyber Security Bureau has launched a dedicated helpline number 8712665600 and urged citizens to immediately report cyber fraud incidents to recover their lost funds.
