Telangana Reduces Security for 100 Prominent Individuals After Review

The Telangana government has taken a key decision to reduce security cover for around 100 prominent individuals across various fields. The move follows a comprehensive security review based on intelligence inputs, citing a decline in Maoist activity in the state.

At present, nearly 600 individuals are under government security protection. The revised arrangements will come into effect from July 1. Officials stated that the decision aims to optimize security resources and reallocate protection based on updated threat assessments and current ground realities.
