Telangana to Accept Bar Applications Even on Holidays

The Telangana Excise Department has announced that applications for 41 new bars in Hyderabad will be accepted even on public holidays. Following requests from applicants concerned about two consecutive holidays during the application period, the department will receive applications on October 10, the second Saturday, and October 11, Sunday, from 10:30 AM to 5 PM. Excise Commissioner Harikiran confirmed the arrangement to ensure applicants have sufficient time to submit their applications.

Officials expect a higher number of applications on October 9, 11 and 12, as these dates are considered auspicious by many applicants. Harikiran has directed officials to establish additional counters to manage the anticipated rush and ensure a smooth application process. The holiday facility will cover all 41 bars, including 14 bars within the CURE area and the remaining 27 bars.
