

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has made extensive arrangements for the Dussehra festival rush, with plans to operate around 7,000 special buses to help passengers travelling to their native places. Of these, 3,533 services will operate from the Karimnagar Zone, including 431 from Adilabad, 719 from Nizamabad, 1,175 from Karimnagar, 530 from Warangal and 678 from Khammam. The Hyderabad Zone will operate 2,155 special services, while the Greater Hyderabad Zone will run another 1,312 buses. Additional services will be deployed based on passenger demand on October 9, 10, 16 and 17, with arrangements also made for the return rush on October 25 and 26.
Special buses will operate from major Hyderabad locations such as MGBS, JBS, Uppal, Aramghar, LB Nagar Cross Roads, KPHB, Boinpally and Gachibowli. Passenger facilities including pandals, shamianas, seating, public-address systems, drinking water and mobile toilets will be arranged at key points. TGSRTC has also revised fares by up to 1.5 times for special buses operating to Telangana and other states on the specified peak dates, in accordance with the state government’s guidelines. Regular bus fares will remain unchanged. Women will continue to receive free travel on eligible Palle Velugu, Express, City Ordinary and Metro Express services, including regular and special buses, under the Mahalakshmi scheme.
