Tollywood Ticket Pricing Panel Gets a Fresh Start

The long-standing debate over movie ticket pricing and revenue-sharing policies has resurfaced in the Telugu film industry. In response, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has dissolved its previous committee and constituted a new nine-member panel under the leadership of veteran producer KL Narayana. The committee will examine ticket pricing, exhibitor-distributor percentage models and other industry-related concerns.

Unlike the earlier panel, the newly formed committee has not been given a fixed deadline to submit its report. The Film Chamber intends to allow the members sufficient time to hold detailed discussions with stakeholders and recommend practical, long-term solutions that can help resolve the industry's recurring ticket pricing and revenue-sharing issues.
