Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan jointly laid the foundation stone for housing projects for economically weaker families at Burripalem in the Tenali Assembly constituency. The leaders performed the Bhoomi Pooja for a 3D-printed house along with the beneficiary family and also presented new clothes to them. Beneficiary Bharti expressed happiness over having the foundation ceremony for her new home performed by the Chief Minister and Union Minister. Addressing a public meeting after the ceremony, Chouhan said Andhra Pradesh was progressing on the development path under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu.
Chouhan said another three lakh houses would be sanctioned before the currently planned three lakh houses are completed and assured that an additional three lakh houses would also be allocated to Andhra Pradesh. He said the Union government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi would continue to support the state’s development. Referring to farmer welfare, Chouhan said farmers receive ₹6,000 annually from the Centre, while the state adds another ₹14,000 under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, taking the total support to ₹20,000. He also said the Centre would support rural infrastructure such as roads, drains and drinking water facilities. Criticising the previous Congress-led approach towards Andhra Pradesh, Chouhan said the NDA governments at the Centre and in the state were working to take the state forward on the development path.
