US Continues Strikes on Iran, Concerns Rise in West Asia

The situation in West Asia has deteriorated further, with rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. In response to Iranian attacks on commercial vessels, the United States has reimposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports. The US military stated that over 20 warships and hundreds of military aircraft have been deployed in the region. Meanwhile, the US has continued strikes on targets inside Iran for the fourth consecutive day.

Explosions were reported in Sirik, Bandar Abbas, Chabahar, Ahvaz, and Qeshm Island, according to Iranian state media. Kuwait’s defense ministry reported that an Iranian attack targeted one of its naval vessels, injuring four crew members. Kuwait also claimed it intercepted ballistic and cruise missiles along with 33 drones launched by Iran. Additionally, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that the previous understanding with the US on ending hostilities is no longer valid.
