Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay visited the renowned Sri Mookambika Temple in Karnataka’s Udupi district and offered special prayers to Goddess Mookambika. This marked his first visit to Karnataka after assuming office as Chief Minister. Vijay travelled from Mangaluru to the temple and spent nearly 30 minutes inside the sanctum sanctorum. As part of his offering, he donated a 1.6 kg silver sword and received traditional honours from the temple priests.
According to reports, Vijay observed a fast until completing the darshan and also participated in special poojas at the temple. A large number of devotees and fans gathered outside the shrine, leading to extensive security arrangements. The visit came shortly after his participation in the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting in New Delhi.
