Vijay’s Birthday Gift...Free Entry to Zoos

The Tamil Nadu Forest Department has announced free entry to the zoological parks at Vandalur, Amirthi, and Kurumbapatti on June 21 and 22 as part of celebrations marking Chief Minister Vijay’s 52nd birthday. Visitors of all age groups will be allowed to enter the three state run zoos without any entry fee during the two day event.

To manage the expected rush, authorities have made online registration mandatory. At the Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur, registrations will be limited to 50,000 visitors per day, while on-site tickets will be issued only if capacity allows. The department is also planning a plantation drive involving 52,000 saplings as part of the birthday celebrations.
