VIP Darshan for a Noble Cause at Omkareshwar

The Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Madhya Pradesh has launched a unique initiative that blends devotion with social responsibility. Devotees who donate blood at designated camps near the temple are being rewarded with VIP darshan privileges. Introduced earlier this year by the district administration, the programme aims to encourage voluntary blood donation and address shortages in local blood banks.

The initiative has received an overwhelming response from devotees. Blood donors are issued a certificate that allows them to skip long queues and receive priority darshan. In addition, they are provided refreshments, prasad, and a photograph of Lord Omkareshwar as a token of appreciation. Officials say the programme has significantly increased blood donations, helping maintain adequate blood reserves and even support neighbouring districts when required.
