An unidentified man's body found near a bus shelter opposite Guntur Railway Station left local residents deeply disturbed after it remained unattended for several hours. According to local reports, no one came forward to claim the body, and it was found in a severely neglected condition. After receiving information from residents, Kothapet Police coordinated with volunteers from the Guntur Covid Fighters Charitable Trust and the Indian Red Cross Society to ensure that the deceased was treated with dignity.
With financial assistance from the Indian Red Cross Society, members of the Guntur Covid Fighters Charitable Trust conducted the final rites for the unidentified man. The volunteers said that although no one stood by him during his final moments, they wanted to ensure he did not remain abandoned after death. They stressed that every individual deserves a respectful farewell irrespective of identity or social status. The humanitarian gesture was appreciated by local residents, who also commended the efforts of the police and the volunteer organisations.
