Voter List Revision Is a Routine Process: Ramchander Rao

BJP Telangana President N. Ramchander Rao has stated that Congress and BRS are spreading false propaganda regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. He clarified that SIR is not a new initiative by Prime Minister Modi or the BJP, but a routine exercise conducted by the Election Commission to clean up electoral rolls.

He said the process has been conducted 12 times in the country and involves removing names of deceased or shifted voters. Ramchander Rao alleged that Congress and BRS are jointly misleading the public on this issue. He added that the Supreme Court has also upheld the constitutional validity of SIR and stressed the need for strict action against fake voter registrations and illegal entries in electoral rolls.
