Washington Wildfires Intensify

Wildfires continue to rage across Washington State, destroying forests, damaging hundreds of structures, and forcing large-scale evacuations. Police have arrested a suspect from Spokane, who is believed to be linked to the wildfire incident. Firefighters are battling the flames under challenging conditions, with strong winds and dry weather making containment efforts increasingly difficult.

Following discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump, Washington Governor Bob Ferguson declared a statewide emergency to strengthen response efforts. Officials have urged residents in vulnerable areas to evacuate immediately and remain alert as temperatures are expected to rise further during the week. Authorities have also imposed a ban on flying drones in wildfire-affected zones, warning that they interfere with firefighting aircraft and helicopters. Officials said drone activity disrupted firefighting operations 26 times on Sunday alone.
