Ashutosh Ranka has claimed that he, Abhijeet Dipke and Saurav Das could be arrested before October 10 under the National Security Act (NSA) or other legal provisions. In a social media post, Ranka said multiple sources had contacted them about a possible arrest, but he did not identify the sources or provide any official confirmation. He said the three activists had been prepared for the possibility of imprisonment since June 6 and were not afraid of arrest.
The claim comes amid continuing protests by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and other members have announced a major mobilisation in Delhi on October 10. Ranka’s statement suggests the group expects possible legal action against its key members ahead of the planned protest. However, there has been no independent confirmation that Ranka, Dipke or Das will be arrested under the NSA or any other provision.
